048 - Sewn invitation’s idea

Where that came from? Well, I’ve seen some projects that had really caught my attention cause to me -> Mixing paper, fabric, stamps and sewed details = simply AWESOME!!

I wasn’t searching for anything in particular when I came across all this pictures, I just like always, save them on my "wedding folder" just in case. Now after organizing and after seing them all together, it all made sense.

I wanted something original that didn’t involve a lot of paper (because of the nature of our wedding, and the fact we don't want to use a lot of "new paper") and I love sewing cause there are so many possibilities when it comes to fabric, so what better than having both on our invitations.

Nope! I’m not going to show you the invitations right away.
(I got to be mysterious in some way) -> yeah right! I’m just joking :D
It’s just that there are still a lot of details to work - on the samples. I rather show product finish pictures :) But I can give you a clue sharing all the cool DIY projects that inspire me so here they go:

This is one of my favorites and no, is not just because it’s PURPLE :) , I love all of Kathleen’s projects (That’s why I’m listing most of them here) You can find the full post that features this cool DIY project here (Link)

That’s for now, hope you enjoy these projects; Do you have inspiration projects for your invitations as well? Want to share?

About this blog

I am a Spanish speaker and I started this blog as a way to learn English, I was blogging from Chile while we waited on our Visa process so I could move to California and we could have our green and purple wedding. So a big portion of this planning happened while we were still dating long distance.
